THE PERSIAN AIR MAIL

5 July 1927 This cover illustrates the route to Europe via Baku and Moscow to Berlin and Vienna: July 1927 It is reported that the International Bureau of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) has set 1st September 1927 as the date for a conference at The Hague to discuss international air mail postage rates and conditions. At least 25 countries, including Persia, will send delegates to the conference, and representatives of aeroplane companies will attend as experts to be consulted as required. The decisions of the Conference are expected to result in temporary agreements which will operate until ratified or extended by the next session of the Postal Union , which meets in London in 1929. <Aviation Week 25 July 1927> 20 July 1927
