3 November 1927 A 7-seater monoplane arrived at Meshed with 5 passengers. On 4 November 1927 it took up 73 passengers for five minute flights. It left on 5 November 1927. It carried a mail both ways. Junkers is optimistic about the prospects for the Teheran-Meshed line. There are only occasionally passengers on the Teheran-Tabriz line, but Junkers anticipates a much larger number of passengers on the Teheran-Meshed line. The journey by road from Teheran to Meshed takes 4 days by car at a hire cost of £30. The road is extremely bad and frequently impassable in winter. On the other hand, the journey by road from Teheran to Tabriz takes only 2 days, the road is better and the rates lower. Very large numbers of pilgrims visit Meshed. Junkers charges only £7 or £8 for the flight to Meshed which is nearly 600 miles. It is therefore cheaper and quicker for passengers to fly whilst, if necessary, sending their luggage by lorry. The aeroplanes land at Maiamai to refuel. Junkers intends to maintain a weekly service during the winter, and to send additional aeroplanes whenever there is sufficient passenger demand. Mails are already being carried, and Junkers is seeking a regular mail contract. 1 November 1927
