Now, after a few hours of flight, the pilgrims land in Mecca and can devote themselves to the religious exercises with renewed strength, whereupon the swarm of pilgrims return by air. It remains questionable, however, whether the simplification of the route has also changed the assessment of the pilgrimage. The current Shah Mohammed Resa is a good pilot himself. All his striving is to make the Air Force a viable instrument of national defence. He always travels by plane, which he often controls himself.
