The Italian cruiser “Calabria" which sailed from Bombay on the 2nd June, arrived at Bandar Abbas on the 8th and left on the 10th for Bushire which she reached on the 12th. Her special mission at Bushire was to take over and transport to Rome the bodies of two Italian aviators who were killed in 1920 by the fall of their machine while making a landing in Bushire. H. M. S. “Cyclamen", which had specially come to Bushire to take part in the ceremony, steamed out a few miles and escorted the Calabria into the Dastak anchorage off Reshire. Capt. Gaccia called on the Political Resident who has charge of Italian interests, on the evening of his arrival, and on the Governor, the next day. On the 13th, the two coffins were taken in military ambulance cars from the Telegraph cemetery at Reshire to the New Customs Wharf in Town and embarked with due ceremony.
