THE PERSIAN AIR MAIL

29 October 1924 November 1924 The Persian press announced that 5 Junker aeroplanes will arrive shortly to operate the airmail routes - 2 between Teheran and Enzeli; 2 between Baku and Enzeli; the 5th to reconnoitre a new route Teheran-Ispahan-Bushire. Junkers intends to establish workshops and an aviation school in Teheran. 7 November 1924 Extract from Confidential Summary of news received in the Political Residency, Bushire: “Aerial The Dutch Fokker biplane, piloted by Lieutenant A. N. J. Thomassen à Theussink Van der Hoop of the Royal Dutch Air Service, accompanied by H. Van Weerden Poelman, Lieutenant of Engineers, and P. A. W. Broeke, mechanic, arrived at Bushire from Baghdad at 1-30 P.M., on the 7th and left the next morning for Bandar Abbas. One aeroplane is for Jarolimek's use; the other is a military machine which he is trying to sell to the Persian government. December 1924 Extract from Confidential Summary of news received in the Political Residency, Bushire: “German Activities. Herr H. Willnow, the Bushire Agent of Messrs. F. Undutsch and Company, has requested Messrs. A. and T. J. Malcolm, the Bushire Agents of the Anglo Persian Oil Company, Limited, to furnish quotations for petrol and oil for an aero plane service for mails and passengers between Tehran and Bushire which Messrs.
